Build Diary: Week Eight (Things Are Looking Up!)

After a pretty rough week last week, we were excited to turn things around this week.

This whole working for yourself thing and trying to build your dreams isn't as easy as some folks will lead you to believe. And even when you know it's going to be a bumpy ride, it's still quite a bummer when things don't go to plan. 

We made some really solid progress on the Wandering Aimfully dashboard this week with our developer. There are two big pieces of the puzzle to finish up before putting the new dashboard in the hands of our existing members and our awesome new pre-order members. Here's a sneak peak of the new dashboard:

In our weekly checkin video (below) we also talked about being in the "ugly middle" phase of this project. It's a necessary part of any project and you've probably experienced it before...

• There's nothing sexy about the ugly middle
• There's not much to share about the ugly middle
• The ugly middle is filled with lots of mundane work
• The ugly middle is boring, but absolutely necessary

We honestly wish we had more exciting things to share with you each week. We really want to be creating more interesting content. But alas, the ugly middle has us in its clutches and will not let go for the next few weeks. 

Last but not least, Caroline is having a bunch of girlfriends visit her for Memorial Day weekend. This means Plaxico and I are getting kicked out of the house (probably for the best!). I'll be heading to Los Angeles with my fellow tall bald creative friend Caleb Wojcik. We'll both get a chance to be on Matt D'Avella's popular podcast and YouTube channel. Keep your eyes peeled for that in the coming weeks.
